Old Man's Cave

Another warm weekend in Ohio allowed us to go hiking for 2 weeks in a row. Maybe springtime here will change all those grumpy thoughts I've had about this state. So far Ohio has been apologizing for the long winter in fantastic ways.
Today we drove to the Hocking Hills area to explore Old Man's Cave. I've been researching the area and was really anxious to get outside to see what we could find. This trail is one of the most popular in the area and the warm weather brought lots of people out. Still, it was beautiful and quiet and a short, easy hike (good to get the kids back into it). I can't wait to try out the other trails. The gorges created by ancient glaciers, the sandstone cliffs, and the waterfalls spilling into blue pools are making me believe that maybe this area isn't so bad after all :)
